Fees
Fees are generally negotiable. The following is indicative of offered charge out rates but please bear in mind actual fees may vary and are subject to detailed terms and conditions available on request.
- Initial consultations on mediation matters are fee free as is initial work to get both parties to agree to mediation. For parties new to mediation and unsure about its risks and rewards a success fee may be negotiable whereby if resolution does not occur within a reasonable time after a mediation process has taken place no fee will be charged (except for any agreed travel and hotel expenses).
- Fees for UK domestic legal work fees are negotiable with the clerk to chambers info@barristerweb.com
- Arbitration appointments attract a flat fee of £1,200 per day with an administrative appointment fee of £100 and any interlocutory work charged at £150 per hour.
- Each party to a mediation will normally be charged £750 per day with an additional half-day of preparation (depending on the number of documents). Most mediations should only take one day or two at most.
- Fees for commercial (as opposed to purely legal) work are negotiable directly depending on the length and location of any assignment.
- Fees can be quoted in USD, Euro, Thai Bhat or Malaysian Ringitt.
- Hotel travel and other expenses will be agreed with (both) parties and (where applicable) will be shared equally between the parties.
